Neil, I just saw that photo to, nice one from Bill.
I was looking at the extra pad around the step plate on the rear fender, I hadn't seen one of those before. Looks like it could be made of rubber? |

I have scratches on my fender where kids have mis-stepped getting into the rumble seat. I think I will consider putting in a pad for the step. Rubber would work best but leather may look better. Do you think that the dressed side should go onto the paint with the raw side up? I believe traction would be best for the person climbing aboard.

Thanks Neil.
My father took that photo with a Kodak camera he bought in the depression for 50 cents a week. He took a lot of photos, and I have them all in a suitcase. I still have the camera, but 620 film is out of stock. |

Bill,
Was your father the person who got you interested in Model A's? Do you have any pictures of him with a Model A? Do you own any of his cars? |

Neil, my father bought a model A in 1960 when I was 13. We made one car out of 2. My brother now has that car. My father sold the sedan to buy a roadster, but my brother was able to buy the car a few years later. My brother now has the car, after us swaping the car back and forth for a few years. My father restored the roadster and sold it shortly before he died.

I have tried to see what that is, but the photo is not clear enough. I seems to be an interpretation of an animal leaping.

That Roadster is in nice shape for 1936. Somebody took good care of it. So many you see are trashed by that time.

Sadly yes. I have a really nice Kodak with the lens on a bellows that takes 616 film, and that dissapeared long before 620 was gone.
We sound like old farts. |
