Default 1939 Ford shock absorber suggestion?

When I restored my '39 Fordor ten years ago, I replaced the rusty old Houdaille shocks with four used ones that I found at a swap meet. I have been hearing one of those shocks make loud noise on bumpy roads. I did keep my four old shocks on the shelf, and I could use them as cores for an exchange or purchase of rebuilt shocks.

I am shocked by the price I saw for rebuit Houdaille shocks: $195 each, if I provide my core.

Suggstion? Anyone out there who offers a good rebuilt shock for less money?

Andy Falandes took over Bill Wzorek's shock rebuilding business. He rebuilt 4 shocks for me @ $135 each. Tel 413 768 8487 [email protected]
