I spend a lot of time in the early v/8 forum and have not had much to do with T's since 08 but now I ended up with a 18 roadster pickup and will need parts.
In the past I have used Mac's but have stayed away since the shipping costs have gotten out of control. Here is my question to all of you. What is a good alternative source similar to Mac's that also has good shipping, service, etc.? thanks in advance. |

Most guys would recommend Langs or Snyders

I alternate between Langs and Chaffins. They have both been exceptionally good to deal with. Mac's not so much.......

Jesse,
I know years ago they used to send me one every year. I think now if you want a paper one you have to print it yourself.

Ford never produced a 1918 roadster pickup. But they did produce a lot of roadsters, and it was an easy thing for folks to remove the trunk and install a home-made or aftermarket bed. That doesn't make any difference in the interior.
I would also ask on the MTFCA forum. It's very active and you may find somebody there with a 1918. I think the interior would be the same in a roadster and the front of a touring. |

Don,t paint it,just put a interior and top and drive it the way it is! If you restore it ,it becomes "just another model T" make it serviceable and drive it ,it becomes "way cool".only my opinion ,Phil

You can use a spray lube like Gibbs and rub it it. I have read about owners that have used butchers wax to protect the sheet metal and leave the patina.

That RP reminds me of Kirk Hill's car. He made a trailer to match. He has some very nice T's, but this is the one that draws attention.

Snyders and Chaffins. In the good old days you used to call Glenn Chaffin on the phone and
he would take your order using a paper bag and write down your order on the bag. He would then send the bag using it as the invoice and you would send a check after receiving the bag. THAT doesn't happen any more, ah the good old days. Last edited by Dodge; 03-29-2016 at 02:39 AM. |
