Default '40 coupe - installing passenger side key

regret computer not working properly for pictures.

have a briggs & stratton lock and key

looks like a painted in set screw.....
suggestions???

Yes, it's held in by setscrew from edge of door. Does the setscrew seem to show anything at end through the paint? All were #10, early ones with slot for screwdriver, late with allen drive socket. I think 1940 was about the changeover time.
I'd try to get some carb cleaner on end of settscrew, and jab at it until clean.

It's an Allen set screw, and they can be a [expletive deleted] to get out. I ended up drilling mine out, and that was no picnic either. Be careful not to break the threaded bar/strap that holds the screw.
