Hi Guys, my rebuilt 8ba with motor city flathead oil pump system. Runs great no oil leaks.
At 3500 rpm is showing 70 pounds oil pressure, at 25 at hot idle. I see where most guys are trying to get more oil pressure . Is there a problem with these numbers?

70 lbs seems like pretty high oil pressure for a flathead.

What grade of oil do you have in it?
verify with a mechanical gauge.

We are using Mobil 1 15w 50

Theres nothing wrong with that oil preasure. Drive it and enjoy it.

Mine has 15k on same set up with same oil pressure no issues. Enjoy it.

Thats good with a fresh engine and new pump.
