Default removing windshield frame 1933

I have to replace the rubber gasket around my windshield frame. Hardened and it looks really lousy.
What is the simplest way to do that. The old gasket is hardened and I started digging it out with an old set of dental tools, but it looks like I will have to remove the frame to get at the top portion of the frame.
My car has an original interior and I want to be very careful. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I installed the subber seal before as I installed a new window and frame. I removed the header exposing the windshield hinges. Put a heavy blanket over the cowl for safety and got my girlfriend to get on the other side of the car and gently removed the old windshield and frame. We installed the rubber in the new one and gently reversed the process. A happy result.
