I have a 28 roadster pickup. While it is in motion, there is a scraping noise that originates from the rear end. The noise is most noticeable when slowing down or turning. I am hoping that someone might have some suggestions for this issue.

I'll bet the brake drums are starting to rub against the back plates.
Check to see that the axles are tight. The nut should be torqued at least 100ftlbs. Raise the axle up to get the tire off the ground. Grab the top of the wheel and try to shake it in and out. If it moves at all the hub may be loose on the axle. Mine made noise and both axles were loose and had stripped threads. The only thing keeping my wheels on were the cotter pins. Check this before you drive it again.

I had to file my axles because of the stripped threads and re-thread them to 9/16 - 18 pitch. Original threads are 5/8 - 18 pitch. I made a step by step video showing how I did mine on Youtube (1928 Ford Model A Stripped Axle Repair). Hopefully yours just need to be re torqued. Don't forget to use a NEW Cotter Pin after Torqued.
