Did you try a Google lookup? You may try the site below.
https://www.google.com/search?q=1929...w=1049&bih=428 and another http://www.licenseplates.tv/kentucky-159.html and another http://www.chucksplates.com/?cp=&yy=1929 You may have to restore some of these but they are 1929's.

I have a 1929 Roadster from West Virginia. The last time it was registered was as an antique but hanging on front was an original 1929 WV plate. I called the registry of Motor Vehicles to see if that number was available and to my surprise about 20 minutes later I got a call back saying it was and I could use it if I wanted to. I had to take the plate to the registry so they could make a photo copy of it for their records and to make sure it was legible. Now I have that plate on the car. Each year I get a sticker with the expiration date but I do NOT affix it to the plate. I keep it with the registration in case there is any question. It sure looks great!

I have collected New York plates from 1910 to 1964 and the 1930 nos plates that are on my car using ebay with luck from a good number of sellers. #1 IN MY BOOK is FELIX1 ..he has to date 31,566 sales with 100% perfect feedback. # 2 is uptownbutte i believe a partner ??? or of the same in another state..?? Do a search on Google and type what you are looking for and other dealers will pop up . [sometimes...] good luck ..a SUPER person for plate restoration is FINISH MY PLATES from Tenn. and he sells plates already done ..Not cheap but the best i has seen ..

Turns out 29 Kentucky plates are highly sought after by collectors.
In '29 the front plate issued had the "county"...Rear read "Progress" Only years were '29-'30. Guess my truck will display the Kentucky Classic Vehicle Plate issued today. Thanks guys! |

I found my N.J. plate in Hershey,1929 commercial,it is real long and I had to drill an xtra hole to mount it on the stock bracket, also a 1957 Indiana plate for my 1957 Stude. There are several plate dealers in Hershey but you will pay alot for a restored plate, you probably could find a clean original.A friend in S.C. bought a 1929 plate for his A,pd. big bucks, then he found out he couldn't register it because it was last registered to a ton and a half truck!

I finally found a set of 31"s a month ago at a show with One vendor. Yup, old plates and tin signs. I had been looking for over 2 years.
So besides the I/net there are car shows, swap meets, etc as a source also. Happy hunting ! Paul in CT |

every state is different,in my state if you use original plates, you pay registration each year.if you use new historic plates & your car or trk is 60 years or more its a one time registration with special black sticker.if I can get away with not sending my money to the state,i will.i'm in a state that taxes the rain. tom
