Default Bendix removal

The starter armature shaft is bent and cracked so I need to replace it. I have the modern type starter gear on it but I am unable to get it off.. The screw is out and lots of WD 40 applied. Any suggestions are appreciated.

What Bendix? If you have a replacement barrel drive jammed on a bent, cracked shaft just saw the shaft off and throw it away. Not like it's an original part or something. After you've replaced the armature try an actual Bendix drive.
