Came across this and found it interesting. The brass nuts are easy enough to find at Lowe's or Home Depot, but looking around in the plumbing section, I couldn't find anything to easily make the sleeve from.
Anyone ever done this? 8-32 Brass Knurled nuts and a 4mm-0.70 tap to get the nuts to fit a Autolite or Motorcraft Sparkplug. |

My car ran sooo much better when I put Champions in that I don't think I would waste the time or money on Motocraft plugs. Cool idea though.

I was hoping maybe to find something cheap, thin walled that I could grind 2 tabs into to bend under the sparkplug strip. I wonder waht the fellow used in the picture. I was looking at his website, but didn't see anyway to contact him to ask. Maybe he is a fordbarner. here's the link to the site maybe someone knows him.

That's a good idea Kirby1374. Next time I'm at Lowe's I'll take a look.

something like the tube on this page. I just did a quick google of lamp parts. The problem is I would find the right part but yet buying the nuts and the tubes and the price of the "cheap" spark plug I could of just bought the expensive thing that I would be trying to duplicate.

Yeah, that's why I was saying "cheap". But at 20 bucks a plug, I think there is some room. Partly, I just like little projects like this, making a "gadget", so to speak.
