Hi,
What are 1932-36 pickup V8s usually sold for when in a driveable condition but otherwise cosmetic bad condition? Lucas |

Really depends on how bad, and just how driveable it is...??? Ok I'll go out in a limb 12 - 20,000 USD ?
I'll be honest and say I paid 18,000 USD a few years back for mine, running - driving. Cosmetically Ive barely touched it.. Still driving it daily on the same engine, but needing a fair bit of mechanical work elsewhere.

Been offered 10,000 for mine, not that I would ever take it. Could not find another for that money.

Price will depend on what afea of the country you are in, how driveable is "driveable", and what cosmetics younare willing to accept. |

I don't know, but wouldn't the '32-'34's be quite a bit more than '35-'36's in the same general condition?

NADA has classic car pricing, take it with a grain of salt.
1934.. Low retail $11,900 Average retail $14,700 High retail $32,400 1936 Low retail $7,500 Average retail $10,600 High retail $20,600 These are supposed to be for running driving cars, not projects or parts cars. I've been shopping and watching '36 1/2 ton pickup prices the last few years and I think the above values are WAY low. Usually not a large selection for sale at any one time, and the one that are for sale seem to command much better prices than what is listed. |

I absolutely agree. GOOD solid '35 and '36 pickups in stock form seldom come up for sale. Most you see are chopped up street rods, no comparison on value. When a nice original condition '35-'36 does come up for sale it is not unusual for them to sale into the low to mid $30,000 range all day long. Look at what any 1930's pickup truck well restored brings be it a Chevy-Ford-Dodge-Plymouth. They are preemo bucks and Hemmings even stated a while back that 'pre-War pickups in restored stock condition are hot, they are and will be in great demand. |

I restored my 1934 pickup and its worth more than I put into it; but $15,000-$25,000 is a "ball park number". Henry |

32-36 covers a lot of territory. If your behind covers a lot of territory, the 35 and 36 have more room.

Way too many variables. Cosmetic for example suggests paint and chrome, not rust and rot. Try to find rear fenders especially for '35/'36.
I'm not sure what NADA is basing their prices on but I'd like to know how many vehicles were in their sampling and were they mixing street rods with originals. I doubt enough originals sold to give an accurate price. $10,600 as an average price for a 35/36 .... I'd buy every one I could find. And I don't know how much NADA really knows about early Ford trucks. Talkwrench's $12-20 is realistic ... but still too many variables. Watch where the market is going ... then check the availability. By the way, many of us consider the '35 Ford pickup one of the most beautiful trucks ever built.

Yep, I just priced some yesterday. All steel. $3750/pair. I think I'm going to have to try to fix mine.

Don't turn away so soon. I have owned my truck since October so not that long. Fenders were gone. Found a good pair locally for 600.00

Any 32 has a premium added to the price. The white truck above will just about part out for the price! There are plenty of basket cases out there with badly rusted or butchered frames, beds rotted thru where you can see the ground, cabs rotted out where the glass was broken out fifty years ago and missing critical parts. The good stuff is much harder to come by and seems like most of it has been butchered. If you are going to play, you will have to pay!
