I recently acquired an antique "STOP" light fixture, 4-1/4" in diameter with a standard style 2-pin light socket with a one contact bulb in the inside of the socket. The opposite end of the socket has the same 2-pin configuration for a plug to provide power. Does anyone know anything about these? I would love to buy a power plug and install the light. I contacted two sellers of a similar lens on eBay, but did not get the info I needed. I have posted a couple of places on the internet without any leads (no pun intended). Thank you.

That is similar to what Model A and 1932 did with the headlight conduit, except for a single wire and the conduit end ring may be different size. There would have been a spacer (of non-conducting material) with a hole for the wire that goes through the conduit (and possibly a slot to the hole to allow the wire to be snapped into it). The wire would have had a contact end. The conduit end ring would have two pins stamped into it to lock onto the light. There would be a spring between the contact and the housing inside the light, or between the conduit spacer and conduit ring. In THEORY, you would simply attach the conduit to the light with a slight twist and it would be anchored and contact made. If you can find a conduit with the right end you can easily make the spacer with a piece of round plastic stock.
