I have uncovered FIVE holes on the firewall that were filled with body filler...Does anyone know what could've been mounted there? Three across the top and two below, forming a W pattern. Lets' test your knowledge here and see if you know! thanks
Once again I am not able to upload a picture...this site sucks! |

No, this sucks
![]() It could have been a: Headlight relay, Water type heater accessory, Battery mount, A fuse block, a bracket for carrying oil or water can. GW |

I've seen toolboxes mounted under the hood of more than one Model A. Battery box
is one of the more likely guesses, for sure!

Several years ago we ran an article in the Model A Times that showed a burglar alarm that attached to the firewall it could have been that.

If you try to post photos from your computer and have not downsized them, it will just hang up and not tell you why. 800 pixels wide is the largest it will take on thumbnails. MIKE ![]() |

Is it your intention to find and reinstall whatever? I have a firewall that had 48 extra holes. Walk thru the auto parts store and select one of each!!

Battery box.
I wonder what was mounted on my son's firewall?

Three holes across the top and two beneath. The holes are inset and almost appear to have accepted a tapered secrew head. Nothing looks as if it mounted inside and the car was obviously painted after the holes were filled with filler. Any helpful suggestions appreciated. And YES i would like to reinstall what ever it was to take it back to the correct time period. To answer a simple question in advance I would ask the original owner but he passed away years ago.

Why would anyone introduce themself saying "this site sucks" ?? P.S......if you determine the holes are from bullets, at least it would be easy to "reinstall what ever it was to take it back to the correct time period" Who knows?...you might even get some volunteer help if you sit inside. yes, I gave you a smartass answer.
sometimes I do that. and I'm not so thin-skinned, so I'm OK if YOU give ME a smartass answer. you got a considerable number of legit guesses in response, and some very good advice along with them. so how have you been harmed? I'll bet Violet has a better sense of humor ![]()
