Default Head lining kit

Hi All,

Where does everyone think is the best place to purchase a hood lining kit from for a 42 1 1/2 tonne? Or they all the same now mater where you buy?

Also have the same question for the covers/upholstery for the seat?

Appreciate any advice as always.

Just a photo of the rear end I'm working on, had to widen it to accept the guards as the originals were big half bubble guards that were no good and I didn't like them.

Cheers

Corey

Can’t help with the upholstery question, but do keep posting pictures of your build.

I see you are in QLD. I don’t know where you could get it from over there and shipping is going to be the more than the kit if you can get it shipped.
I am leaning towards getting the ABS plastic head lining kit for my 39 truck but as I have not got it I can’t comment on fit. I am looking for seat upholstery too.

The Cartouche cardboard headliner I got from Mac's for my '39 p/u is slowly self destructing in the SoCal heat over 6 years or so. I'd go with an ABS unit if I had to do it over again.

Thanks mate,

Yeah the freight is a killer, I was looking at the ABS and was not sure which way to go.

I may ring one of the agents here and see the cost to get one sent in one of their containers.

Let me know if you find a descent seat covering and I will do the same

Cheers

Corey

Hi All,

Back to the 42 headlining again as I have been on other projects, can anyone tell me if I should have support bars to hold the head lining up and if so how many? I have been looking but I'm going in circles a little bit trying to find the right answer or pictures/drawings showing what should be there and where/how they are mounted?

Would appreciate some detailed guidance it appears the kits have all the securing pins etc by the websites,

https://www.joesantiqueauto.com/head...01c-8151968-bl

As always any guidance appreciated

Cheers

Corey
