Default 1934 Ford flathead need new oil pump advice

OK I chose the wrong oil for break-in... this is an original 1934 flathead with supposedly rebuilt years ago never run...it has very low oil pressure whilst cranking even W/O plugs...so i drain the syn oil and put it in my 1962 Chevy 327...I am pulling the oil pan and as long as I am in there I am going to install a NEW oil pump...what is available out there for a updated pump and pickup that will fit without cutting the original 1934 oil pan?

PS I found non-detergent 30 WT oil at Walmart! ..still going to add one pint of the STP because it has ZDDP now.

if your engine is new and clean, i'd run detergent oil to keep it that way. non detergent is used to keep all the crap stuck all over an old motor in place, not loosened up by the detergent. sorry, i cant help on the pump, but lots of smart folks here, some one will help

I would leave the stp out until she is run in. The zddp can be found in other oils. I'd suggest a non synthetic for run in. All just my opinion.

The later pumps will necessitate you having to cut the windage tray. As others have said, use cheap, non detergent oil for the run in period. No STP! Also upon first start up, drive it, do not under any circumstances just run it and rev it up in the shed, just cause it sounds good! Worst thing you can do....you need to load up the rings in order they can seat. This is achieved by driving it.

10W-30 would be my suggestion for a new rebuild.
