In February we're going to the other extreme - Death Valley - 282 feet BELOW sea level. I'll put the 50 jets back in and hope they're big enough at the low altitude.

I just restored all of my pictures that disappeared when my Panoramio account disappeared (using PhotoBucket now) just in case anyone tried to look at them and couldn't.

I missed this follow up so thanks for posting again.

The photo taken back down the hill is fantastic.

I've driven up and down Mt Evans a few times as a car tester and going up and down in quick succession is harder on the driver than the car. (modern car).

Mart.

The upper section to the right is called "The Big W" like from the movie "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World." You can see the resemblance.

Old Henry, you sure do have some adventures in that car. I'm not sure anyone else drives them as much as you do.

What a joy for you to have a son like Morgan.

Morgan, good on you man!

Life is good, eh!

Morgan is presently serving a full time voluntary mission for the church in Atlanta, Georgia paying his own way. That's the kind of kid he is.

My 94 has 51 jets, might be why it was getting poor gas mileage. I tore down a couple cores I had in the garage and one had 53s and one had 44s. I put the 44s in and drove it around the block here at 6000' ASL with no surging or overheating. I might have to order some 48s though from Vintage Speed.

Thanks for posting this, what a great story, If you take I-80 through Cheyenne again and need any tools or a hand let me know!

Great trip & story. One thing I did notice everybody else was doing all the work & you looked to be just supervising. Heh heh he That young man is certainly a keeper. No wonder he don't want to do another old ford.

Unfortunately, I was working the whole time on the cell phone so everytime we stopped that was my job while Morgan did his. Plus, someone had to take the pictures. That was usually me. But, here's one Mary took that shows me actually working along with Morgan. Ok, I was trying to figure out how to get the car off of him that had fallen off the jack and squashed him. (Just kidding) Someone had to do the thinking.
