Default Coupe Door Locks for Gary from Ahooga

Gary asked on "AHOOGA" how the door lock works on his Coupe, but for some reason Photobucket hasn't been working for me the past two days, so I'll have to post links to my pictures here.

The sliding door lock pushes a steel plate to block the arm on the rotating part on the outside door handle shaft, thus blocking it from rotating. These pictures are from my 29 Tudor, but they are the same for the Coupe. My latch had some broken springs, but after installing the new spring kit and greasing all the moving parts, the door really closes and latches nice now. If you look closely you can see that I still need to replace the broken spring on the shaft for the inside door handle.

Thanks Tom, I did as you said, turned the handle etc, but was rock solid, no movement at all. Like I said, I was able to get a temporary fix by sliding a spring in behind the latch. I'll get after it when the weather turns which could be this week!
