On 36 PU the pinstripe is 3/32 inch wide and is centered on the belt molding that surrouds truck, grill to grill. On 35 is is same width but 5/8 below belt molding. No other pinstriping.

What color would the pinstripe be? Is there a color for each body color?

Lawson, thank you that is just what I was looking for. Now where is the shop that will paint my truck for $14.50? My '36 was Cordoba tan originally but I like the idea of the Grey Vineyard Green, I will look that up.

Lawson,
The old truck just got back on the road so I will be out soon and take some pictures. Not much chance of painting it really, just pipe dreams. It has been that color for the 60 years that I have known it and I'm not going to change it. Dare I ask about the book?

Hey, you can ask. it never hurts. Hoping National will re-think their position. But the book WILL BE PUBLISHED, one way or the other. National just doesn't want to uphold their end of the bargain that THEY proposed.

Did the '35 and '36 1/2 ton pickups come painted all one color, or were the fenders black? Was it common for these trucks to have any color wheels other than black? I have a '36 with '35 wheels (love those wires) and am thinking about painting it Bright Vineyard Green with an Apple Green stripe and wheels. This will be used on the farm for light chores, not a show truck, so I am not too concerned about being 100% correct, but I don't want to get too far off of the reservation. Thanks. Mike

If you will notice about the colors in 1935 and 1936!! Cordoba Gray in 35 is slightly different from Cordoba TAN in 36. Light Gun Metal in 35 is different from Gun Metal Gray in 36. Vinyard Green in 35 is different from Grey Vinyard Green in 36. Dearborn Blue different from Washington Blue. In 36 the grill is black on trucks painted Cordoba Tan and Vermilion. Clear?????????????????????!!
