Can someone make up my mind for me on where is the best place to mount the front brake pipes from the master cylinder forward, (including the Flexible hoses on a '36 when converting to 48 hydraulics. Everything on the car except 8ba motor is stock
Inside frame rail, under frame, outside??
If you have a picture showing it would be great.

You may be able to get a little insite from this layout.
Generally from the master inside the frame over the top to the flex hose 'T' connector back inside the rear frame crossover to the top of the right side frame flex hose connector. (I think I just confused myself) See here--

A while back I sat down with Nick Christman of Brake Hoses Unlimited (Holland, MI) and came up with a kit of brake plumbing needed to convert '35-'36s to hydraulic brakes. He should still have the listing and layout. Some of the material is custom made which he can do. However, be patient, he is busy guy and can be hard to get a hold of. Richard Lacy in CA offers a nice brake line layout in his literature that he supplies with his hydraulic brake conversion kits for 35-36 Fords. I don't believe it requires any cutting or drilling. He is a member here and goes by RichardEV8G or something close to that. I am sure he would share this with you regardless of whether you bought his kit or not.

Here is how I did mine, it's a 37, but the frame is about the same. The red on the hose photo is the inner fender sitting on the floor. The left hose fitting at the frame is a T as the supply tubing continues to the right side. The frame is getting really dusty it has been done since 2010 waiting for me to finish body, it may get a little thicker before it's done. Zeke

This is how I did mine, 1\4" lines, 'Y' brass fitting out the side of the master cylinder, one to the rear, one to the front. Unless you want to punch a hole in your inner fender aprons for the hoses, mount the brackets under the frame rails, mine works great!

I went inside driver's side frame rail forward then T'D through the frame to driver's side backing plate & from the "T" went forward behind the front cross member & over to the other side & through the frame again to passenger side backing plate. Used insulated 1/4" hold down clamps with self taping screws behind cross member to follow contour.
