I'm getting close to throwing the '53 flathead back into the '33 pickup. Right now it has some homemade pieces of angle iron bolted to the frame that held up the engine. They seem to bolt into the frame with 3 bolts. Before I put the engine back in I'd like to know what the original style was. So far I'm just finding the weld-in brackets that require you to box the frame to use them. I can do that if it is worth doing. Otherwise I can just cut up some new pieces of angle iron and bolt them in with better bolts. Thanks.

Use the 8BA truck water pumps and a 49/50 Merc metal spacer. It is u shaped with holes offset and gives you the correct height for your engine. The center to center on 35-48 car and 48 to 53 truck engine mounts is different than the center to center distance on the 32/4 frames and requires a offset. Original "bisquit" pads go under the spacer.
