Default scrub-a-dub. cast iron prep

been covered b4 but can't locate info on procedures and products to use for cleaning block/head cast iron parts for painting. appreciate the help. thank you

Solvent or mineral spirits to get all the grease off. Then, a wire wheel on your die grinder. Then repeat a scrub with solvent and a 3m scotchbrite pad. Soapy scrub, then paint.
