Default Looking for help!

Hope no one gets too upset with some hotrod question :-) One of my wife's friends took this "T" as collateral 34 years ago and it has sat under a shed, covered ever since. The house where it sat was recently sold and I got this as a present to restore to its former glory. I'm trying to identify what I have; It has a 302 cobra engine (1968), C4 automatic and a Corvette IRS rear end and a Mustang steering box. I'm trying to figure out the front end? and how much of the rest is real vs reproduction? The body is in great shape, only some surface corrosion in a few places. I'm not sure if the fenders are real or reproductions (their in very good shape but feel heavy for reproductions) The frame to me looks like its real, but has been beefed up in a few places to support the 302. The windshield is is great shape (too good) and the frame to me looks like a reproductions. Any way I can really tell? Again, sorry for the hotrod question, my other cars have been restored to their former glory, this will be my first rod

Looks like 1940 ford backing plates and spindles, the axle and spring look aftermarket.

Looks like a typical 1970's hot rod. I'll shoot you a PM if you want to talk over the
phone about it.

Thanks guys, I'll keep piecing things together with this info. I tried to register for the HAMB forum to follow up on your tip ws but the registration function is not working right. I've asked the administrator for help. I'm very curios to know if a Uniques club member might remember something about this car. I've been told some of its history which is both colorful and sad.

COOL! Is the bucket (body) and fenders steel or fiberglass? Looks like a real model T steering column (mounted upside down). Toss the phone and get a camera.

See if this link helps... and you BETTER tell me the outcome LOL!! ws

This is a PM to that member at the HAMB:

Hey Dean... theres a guy on the FordBarn Model T site that procurred one of your club members cars and would like some history on it. Can you help him out? Thank! Now FLOOR IT !!!! LOL Bill

Re: American Graffiti Movie Locations Petaluma, CA
The funny part of all this is the fact that the down town cruising scenes were actually shot on Citrus Ave in old town Covina, hundreds of miles to the south. I know this because the car club I was in at the time, The Pomona Valley Uniques, had some of our cars used as extras for the cruising scenes.

Everything is steel and heavy!

I tried the link but it still needs a username and password. I did trade notes with the HAMB administrator this morning and their setting me up. Will let you know what comes out of any discussion with Dean. Thanks for the help!!!!
