There were 4-5 POST covers with covers like that, not sure if they were all by the same artist. They bring in a fair amount on eBay. Bob

Nice cover from the good old days, when we still had many freedoms.
Today such a picture wouldn't exist because many areas have ordinances against working on your own car in your own driveway.
NOT what I call progress.

Just so happens that I have this issue with the Model A Roadster on the cover.
The one that I have is not as well preserved as the one shown, it has some "Shelf Wear"

I've seen 2 piece wheel covers from the 40's that sort of simulate a white wall tire. Could that be what is mounted to this wire wheel?

That really does bring back some memories for me.
One of my best friends, back in the early fifties, bought a Model "A" Roadster, in bad shape, for just a few dollars. My cousin, who was a WWII Navy veteran, tuned it for us and got it running. My friend, his brother and his Dad lived in an old clubhouse of a closed golf course. We drove that ole "A" Model all over the course, when we were about 14-15 years old.
I remember there was almost a war, when one brother threw a baseball threw the newly acquired junk yard find roadster windshield.

Glad you gents are enjoying it. I grew up "make believe driving" my dads unrestored late 1931 Deluxe Roadster which was about the same color and condition with red 16" wheels sitting in the barn. Later on we worked together to restore it and oh what fun we had. That later on lead to a life time of running my own restoration shop. So, try to interest your children or others in the neighborhood, who knows were it might lead?

Just next door was a 1930 coupe fixed up and painted like the cover car.....Oh what great memories.

And speaking of youth, we are having a fund raiser for needed tools and equipment for the McPherson College Restoration Program coming up in January. I am hoping that you guys will put a few bucks on the side for it to help them out. Who knows, the kids we help today might be helping us with our cars when we get older. Take a moment and read about it here.
