Default '40 Volotage Regulator

About 5 years ago I bought a modified voltage regulator for my '40 convertible. I seem to have lost the receipt and the man's name from whom I bought it. It is solid state, etc. I would like to contact the man again, would anyone have any idea who might have modified these voltage regulators and had them for sale??? OWhite
