Default Head light parts...for originals....

I'm working on my 28 headlights(single bulb) and have some questions.

1. Is the head light socket, that fits in the reflector, the same for both
single and twolite?

2. On the wires, the Brass contact that are staked too the wire, are
they available some were or do I make them? I didn't see them in Brattons.

3. Just in case.....how about the springs behind the contacts?

Thanks, Dudley

Follow up....

I have gutted all my 28 head light buckets...and now have 1 1/2 sets. One set is
unmarked with "stubs" for contacts. The single has a mark on the insulator of "HAD",
with button contacts. All are Brass, Nickel plated.

Still no help.....

Dudley,
I have a number of both two lite and single lite reflectors. I can check to see if some of them have the sockets in them. My gut feel is they are the same. I think you can purchase replacement springs at McMaster Carr. I have found springs that are very close to what I needed for open car latches and hood clamps there.

the bulb socket is the same 28-29 single or two bulb, I do not know of anyone that makes the correct contact, I do have one nice original set up for one head light with the original conduit it has the original screw in steaks. [email protected] John

That is only true for '29 Twolight headlamps. Ford "H" headlamps are different as I've described relative to reflectors. They MUST be a matched set to fit and function correctly.
