that was great. But I have a question. What web site makes this possible? Is it possible to type in a serial number and find out if it is active or exists somewhere? I'd like to check out a few numbers of my own. Norm

Belive it or not im doing the same thing for my dad. He had a 59 English ford Anglia when I was a baby and he always talked about it . well I decided to find one and fixit up the way he had his. I wound up buying a 57 english ford squire the only difference between the two was the squire had windows and the anglia was a panel van. well i bought the car and figured I would just weld some panels where the windows are and make it a panel. well I ran an add on craigs list for some mustang parts I was selling and a guy called up wanting to know if I wanted to sell the english ford because he needed parts for his.and you could see mine in the back ground of the pics I took. I told him no and explained what I was doing and was telling him how my dad had built his. and the guy said I think I have your dads car. its been in storage for 20 + years well the guy has agreed to sell it back to me. here is a pic of it when my dad had it not a very good pic but a pic .I have already bought the wheels and have a motor ready to go in it.

That's a real tear jerker. The General is hittting the mark with they're latest run of "Chevy runs deep" commercials. Ford should take note.

That is awesome, my grandpa had the priviledge of buying back his first truck back, 1930 AA, he had used and then chopped in to a tractor, it was sold at an auction, 10 years later bought it back

We have three sons. I am going to e-mail this to all three. I met their mother 50 some years ago in my 1956 Belair convertible. Those 56 convertibles run $75,000 - $85,000 today. Maybe they could find me a PHOTO of it................................

I attribute it to the massive numbers built, especially the Impala which I believe is the largest selling model name in automobile history (?)

Every time I take mine out, at least two people relate that they had/grew up with/knew somebody who had one. Being newer than my Cabriolet, it tends to draw a younger crowd!

I wish my kids would do that for me. I can think of 2 different cars I'd love to have back. A 1956 Nomad and a 1972 Nova. But that's been 35 t0 40 years ago. Oh man and that '64 Galaxie 2 dr. post with the factory 390 cu in and 4 speed. Oh my God I think of a lot of cars I'd like to have back. I think I'll just be happy with my model t's.

If you have to have a '64 Galaxie 390, my neighbor is sacrificing his. Full rotisserie redo, White top on red body, red interior. $13K.

I still have my 1965 Impala SS Butternut Yellow (black interior and top) convertible that I bought in high school back in 1968. Don't drive it very often, but it is still a great car. I'm glad to see other folks appreciate the cars from their younger days.
