Default how far 59ab bored

there is a 59ab listed for sale checked for cracks ect it is bored 80 over is that within specs with piston ect availabe want back up for fire engine

Yea .080 piston are avaiable, you can go .100 or .125 with no problem. Walt

I would do a sonic test in 4 places 90 degrees apart in each cyl before I decide how far to bore any flathead. My builder doesn't like walls that finish out less then .100. Just a thought. Did that on my 59A. Like said above...080 over is not usually a problem, if it is already freshly bored to that you can probably skip the sonic test. Ross has pistons for that.
