Default Zenotson, er Tillith carb?

I have a Tillotson carb that's structured like a Zenith. It's not cast iron like a Zenith, it's a pot metal carb with some bigger passages and a power circuit near WFO. It looks really good inside, very serviceable but I don't recall seeing one like this. Industrial? Early aftermarket? I kinda like it, like maybe it has some flow and fuel delivery advantages. What gets me is that it looks like an iron Zenith vs the usual Tillotsons (have 2 of those). Anybody know the what/when/where on these?

This is a Tillotson F1B. No parts are available which makes them pretty much unusable unless you have enough for spares. I have two and they do run nice.

Here is one of mine. I have not ever run a Tillotson F1B. It has been said that it wasn't a popular design. I didn't see my first one until 1999 at the shade tree model A club swap meet in Augusta GA. I see them pretty often now on eBay. I just wanted a few for my collection and spare parts. I think that they should run if in good clean cond. Smith and Jones model A parts in columbia SC. has gasket sets for the F1B Tillitson, so I am told.

Smith and Jones just have the housing gasket.

The F1B is the forrunner of the Tillotson Model X. I have several F1B's rebuilt; have installed one and test run it on my A; it runs just as strong as the Model X.

If any one is in need of any F1B parts let me know; have lower housings, jets etc.

I'll post some detail pics later. This one will clean up and be just fine. Looks rebuilt and forgotten so cleaning and some compressed air it should be a good one. Just when you thought you had enough Model A info...

As Ron said jets and major parts are not available. I would agree runs just like a Model X. Mine was originally painted black and was in a box of parts I bought in Chickasha.
