I just did the motor swap today and noctied alot of parts that are not on my Oct. coupe. Cast sediment bowl, drum taillight, parking brake in front, the front engine mount also looked odd to me, it was a one piece unit with hard rubber inserts. Are these parts normal for a May pickup?

Hi Jeff,
The cast iron sediment bulb, the drum taillight, and the parking brake in the front is fine on the truck. Outdated parts were always used up on the commercial vehicles. The one piece front motor mount spring with the hard rubber inserts is repo and should be discarded. They usually make the front of the motor ride higher and they can keep the crank from lining up in the radiator shell hole. Regards, Neil |

Is your pickup a May of 1928, or is it May of 1929?
