Default Steering box

I have a '30 coupe with a 2-tooth steering box. Drove it the other day and it felt like the front wheels were wobbling. Had never done this on previous drives. Jacked the front up, checked everything for tightness, even the bearings. All looked good. It was low of oil in the steering box. Filled it with oil. Haven't drove it yet. Would low oil in the box make the "wobble" feel in the front?

loose tie rod ends, or drag link end would do it. Possibly a broken spoke, or broken spring or spring shackle.

Usually low oil in the box makes it stiff to steer.

On the last A I bought ,it was a white knuckle drive to get it home.when I checked it out, it had toe-in of 1-1/2" After adjusting things it steered very well.

Check for loose stuff with wheels on the ground, wiggeldy wobbley stuff is easier to detect that way.
"VERMIN" shimmied at times, everything perfect, except for a broken spring inside rear drag link end.
Have your helper turn the steering wheel "violently," side to side while checking everything that moves! Too much steering box play also can cause it. If your 2 tooth box is not worn out, they CAN be adjusted very well. (Let us know the outcome, please.) Bill W.
