Well i started in this hobby in or around 1972 buying a 1931 tudor . At that time i was 18 years old. Did not know anything about Model "A's or old cars. So in 1975 i came across a shop called Heritage Restoration in Pawling , N.Y. [Mary Taylor Moore] lived not to far from there and Earl Jones still lives there[he has a 39 truck and 49 for drivers] .Anyway Frank was just starting up his business in 1975,, and i knew of his father back,,when i was a kid[11 or 13] he had a shop in Conn.[ i use to look in the windows of the shop to see all the old cars being restored].So in that year i had Frank paint my tudor body.He was restoring allot of "A's back then and most of his business. Then he went to the DARK SIDE building ROD after Rod because that's where the money was. Year after years RODS. So i stopped by last week if he could paint a headlight bar for me.I opened the door to his shop and there was a 1931 standard fordor phaeton body from URUGUAY that a guy bought and boxed it up and shipped it back here. [Doing a full restoration on it] Body was solid ! and in the other bay was a 1929 coupe he restored 25 years ago that the owned never drove but put gas in it. So tank had to come out cleaned out and painted again. So Frank after all these years is back getting people restoring "A's ..Spoke to him and now all he wants to do is body work and paint. He always thought of me being crazy with the show car in mind... He is a true driver type person. Shop has about 50 pictures of "A's he restored in the past. Started out with "A"s and retured back to "A's. Or people have ...good sign??
