Cool Trim on Model A pickup running board ??

I saw a Model A pickup with stainless trim on the side of the steel running board. It actually looked quite nice ! Is that available or was it likely something he fabricated. When I asked he said it was on the edge when he bought the truck . Thanks wayne

I can tell you this that there was no trim what so ever on the 28-29 Commercial (pickups, ect) running boards and I don't think there was on the 30-31's either (commercial).

I don't think it is even available for the commercial running boards.

Mine is a 29 PU Roadster and the trim was also on a 29 Roadster pickup. It was on a tour thru Michigan in August and we saw it in Flint.

Trucks did not come with trim, but since the edge of the running board is the same on all, the trim will fit if you chose to add it. I suppose it would look ok if the truck also had brightwork radiator shell and lights.

Simple enough as it appears someone installed passenger car style running boards on a commercial vehicle. Yes, you can order them from vendors with stainless trim in lieu of the zinc trim. The stainless trimmed units are not polished all that well but the trim easily snaps off (whether you want them too or not!! ) so you can buff them to a higher lustre if that is your desire.
