Default 30 Roadster

The front spindles on my 30 A look kind of rough. When I purchased the car years ago I checked the brakes and noticed the front spindles had those cone shaped spaces on both spindles. While I have had no issues driving the car it appears the availability of new spindles is nil. I did a search and saw a reference to Macs-affordable rebuilds spindles - I requested a catalog. Question---has anyone had their front spindles rebuilt by this vendor..................Bill K

The front spindles only need to be smooth where the bearing races fit and in the threaded area at the end. They all have a rough textuure in the other areas. Do you have a picture of your spindle?

No unfortunately I do not. Thanks for the information. I'll take some photos Monday and put them on the forum and get some opinions as to their condition...
