Question headlights

HI: I want to know what every body is doing with the rivets inside the headlights u know the rivets that hold the adjuster in. What I want to know is every body putting in the screw in rivets with the bolts and nuts or is every body putting in the original type rivets and witch is better to do. I would like to put the original rivets back in but how can u put them in with out scratching the rivet heads has any body done it with out scratching and how did u do it getting the rivets tight. And did u do it before u buffed the headlights if not how can u buff the headlights without taking the finish off the original type rivets please give me your Idea's or what u did ORIGINAL TO REPO NUTS AND BOLT RIVETS. Thanks let me know reggiedog

I have always used the repro "rivets" that bolt inside the shell. They have never been detected by any of the Model 'A' judges. I would never attempt to rivet a good shell in case of damage.
