I am looking for these original uphostery fasteners (called Door Cardboard sockets) for the door panels. They are made of brass. The ones I got in my kit are made of plastic and are too thick in the shoulders to do a good job.
Anyone know of where I might try? Thanks. |

They are made new. A friend of mine imported some new, about 2 years ago. He has since died. Where they came from, went in to the grave with him. I collect old ones to reuse. I am restoring a 30 Roadster and I might have a few to spare if you are stuck. I have used the repro ones, but find the plastic female part is too thick and the panel sits too high on the door. The plastic females really grip the pin well. If you have to ever remove one, find a steam winch first.
You could try "The Restoration Supply Company". [email protected] Ask for Sonja. They are very helpful. They might have some.

Thank you.
I will call these companies on Tuesday. If you have some that you could spare, do you have as many as 12 or so? I may need at least that many? Byron |

I found them at Restoration Specialties & Supply, Inc, 148 Minnow Creek Lane, PO Box 328, Windber, PA tele # 814-467-9842. Ask for Jeff. DOOR PANEL CLIP #1337. They are a perfict fit, and look just like the original. Byron |
