Ford 352 Pistons, 4.030" tight and clean
Counter balanced crank
Main and Rod babbitt is in very good shape

That is a very tricky question. It depends on if you're trying to sell it, or buy it and if it has been ran in a car, or just sitting in the garage still a fresh rebuild. If i were selling it, and i knew everything was in good shape it would probably ask about 1500-1800 just because anybody who buys it will question the machine work inside of it. Whether the babbit is truly in cood condition, and if everything was put together correctly. Now if i was going to buy that motor i would probably only give around 1000 maybe a little more for it if i knew the condition of the internals. And the only reason i would pay less, is because there is no guarantee. Meaning there is no warranty with it, and if it were to break, i would be out that money. And this is all based on if it were still a fresh rebuild from the 70's. If its been ran in a car for any length of time, i would pretty much cut both prices in half.

All B blocks are diamond marked. No such block as a C. This engine never existed.

Ford-produced blocks did not have the diamond during regular production years. The diamond is a foundry mark and those blocks were produced in an outside foundry for Ford, mostly for commercial use.

He never said it was a C Block, only that it had a "C" head.

No, notice he edited his post. The original one stated "C" block.

I asked about what he was calling a C Block because his first post was titled "4 cyl C Block" and specified the c block and the c head. I have been reading about Model A's for some years and have several times heard people call the five main block casting a C block, the Diamond block called a C block and even the engine with only a "C" head called a "C" block engine.

It was not meant to be anything against CA Victoria but to gather additional information to give him an answer to his, how much is the engine he has worth question.

If you look at the threads you will also see one asking "What is a Model C block?" that was spawned from this thread. "There is a fellow Barner asking the worth of a Model C block."

I'm sorry if some of you thought my question was out of line but one cannot give the value of something that does not exist but I wanted to give a value of what he had so I was asking an open ended question to gather more information.

No offence, Mike, I just didn't see the original first post calling it a "C Block"

The 33 34 blocks were locally called C blocks to differentiate them from the B block. The confusion supposedly was started by the letter C cast into the head. What 5 main block? The Donovan is called a D. If someone calls his engine a C then I would assume he meant it was a 33 or 34 and it had the forged factory counter weighted crankshaft, wrong as we might be! Not the heavier larger bearing B block as compared to the A and with a non counter weighted crank.

Must be a typo . Should it not be a Five CAM bearing block? Never seen a real five main bearing block.

Thanks for the larnin. a nearby Bud hereabouts has a "model B" style engine with a C cast on the block where the diamond can be found. I haven't gone over to see it and will snap a pic when I do.

It is amazing how a mis worded question can generate so much interest! LOL
Your words of wisdom are apreciated to help us new to the hobby to understand. All to often words are mis understood where a voice conversation is not.
Thanks for setting me straight on the B vs C issue.

It came right under your post about your nos Russian B engine that didn't have the diamond. It was ford garage or vince falter and he's the HIGH sherriff here. hes never wrong but I guess this time he re thought this and deleted the post. Hope I don't get banned again!!!!!!!

Actually Vince, the title to this thread was originally about a Model C block and the reference to the C head was in the first post texts, both were asked. Changing the title confuses the issue but doesn't change subsequent posts which retain the original title as RE.
