Default fender welting

I finished painting the rear fenders on my 34 pickup today & would like to know if there was welting between the running board & the fender? I think I remember removing fender welt between fender and bed but do not remember if there was any between fender & running board I,m old & have that CRS disease.
Thank you in advance.
Gary.

No Ford of any body style ever had welting here.

Jerry...are you saying no welt on rear fenders or just at the running board area. My 48 F1 truck didn't have any on the rear fenders anywhere? Thanks

I used some "smooth rubber" welting from C&G between the fenders and running boards on my 36. It may not be "correct" but I'm not a fan of metal to metal contact. It's gonna' squeak and it's gonna' rust. The vinyl welting with leather grain tends to get ugly with wax but the rubber buffs up clean.

Stuff was expensive ($3.50/ft) with the freight. I have about 12 ft left over. If you want some of it I'll send it for my cost + $7.50 for a USPS if it fits it ships box. 5 or 6 feet should do all four places. Measure what you need. [email protected]

I like to install something between metal on metal just to prevent the possibility of causing a squeak. A piece of an old inner tube works great and no one will ever know it's there.
