Question Gas Leak Question

My gas fitting that goes on the carb is leaking. I had done the fitting with Permatex sealent but still leaked. When I removed the fitting, the ferrule did not come out.....

I looked in the hole and the furrule is stuck inside. (Jut to make 100% sure there should not be a brass fitting on the inside of the hole... ??)

I must have had the gas line fitting not far enough up on the gas line and the furrule was off of the end of the gas line.

I think if I remove the gas filter bolt I can get behid the stuck ferrule and tap it out...

Thoughts??? Thanks!!!

Yes I think so too, and it should come easy. Or you could lightly thread a sheet metal screw into it and pull it out. Good luck, Rancho

the ferrel once installed properly is crimped to the gas line and will not come off, it will come out with the gas line, yours must not have been installed properly. and never never ever fix a gas leak with permatex or any other sealent, your just asking for a fire and god knows what else, dont drive it till its fixed right, sorry for the sermon, but ive seen the consequences of mickey mousing fuel leaks
