Default Stock block cam Bering hole diameter?

My 32 block was bored to use cam bearings. I would like to know the stock diameter of the holes. The new bearings were too tight. I suspect the bores are undersized.

To help answer the original posters question measure the Cam bearing diameter if you find it is below the 1.7955 than there's certainly a problem. If you find the bore diameter measures .010 under the 1.7955 the cam bearing's are the undersize set.
If the block was bored undersize for a new set of cam bearings it would have been extremely difficult to force in a new set of bearings.

Hey Ronnie, the cam bearings you're speaking of are for a cam that has been ground .010 on the bearing journals - like original Potvin 425's on 32 billet cores.

I don't believe they are related to the OD of the bearing and block? Are you saying there is another set of CAM bearings that are .010 under on the OD (block bore)?

I've never seen that. I have seen some that are LARGER on the OD . . . probably to fix blocks that were screwed up during initial manufacturing.

No Dale the dimension's I wrote 1.7955 is the stock Cam bearing journal dimension's of the camshaft. Then I added the information that maybe someone installed the .010 under cam bearings made for a cam that's been ground .010 under on its cam bearing journals such as the 32 steel steel cam.
Not anything written about the block bore diameter for the cam bearings just what the cam bearing journals would measure and thus the cam bearings ID .

Thanks Ronnie . . . was just having an issue in understanding what you were saying. I'm on the same page with you on the .010 undersize on the ID of the bearing - have used them multiple times and always keep a spare set in case I need them in the future.
