Default Source for Aluminum Polishing

I just sent some pics of an aluminum intake I'm considering having polished to folks I have used in the past for stainless steel and aluminum polishing. I understand everything costs more these days but I was ASTONISHED at their estimate. Perhaps they are spot on but I would like get another estimate, does anyone have a recommendation for a person or business that does metal polishing? Thanks.

I polished the aluminum rims and lower engine cases to a chrome like finish on my 1975 Yamaha 650 motorcycle. It is alot of work to get it to that level. An intake, with its convoluted surface would be a challenge. Another option would be to go with a more easily achieved satin finish and DIY.

Buy a dremel tool and a polishing kit. It'll be fun and keep you off the internet.

Well, I HAVE polished aluminum,...did the Edelbrock intake in this pic, was so burned out that when it came to the heads I sprayed them with gloss Cerakote ceramic and called it good. I checked with a company recommended to me on the hamb and they'll do it for almost half of my previous estimate. Will be going with them.
