loss of a vintage ford expert
It's been a while since I posted and unfortunately this is not a happy post.
I don't know if this was posted on this forum yet, but I did not find any mention in a search for it.
I just learned that Tom Stewart, who had been working on vintage Fords for over 60 years died in a plane crash. I only met him about 4 years ago when my brother and I got serious about getting our father's 32 Roadster hotrod from the 50's back on the road. We had never heard about Tom until then. But it turned out that he lived just 15 minutes from my brother near Rochester, NY.
Tom was instrumental in guiding us on the engine rebuild and many other aspects of the work. And he was always fun to hang out with. On every visit to my family I would always include some time for a visit him. Like many others, my brother and I will miss him.
