Thought I would share what I worked on this weekend.
On my original light switch the internal brass contacts broke, I tried to rebuild them but anytime you went over a bump the lights would flicker. Since the cheapest original replacement I have ever seen was $400 I decided to replace it with a high current push/pull switch off Amazon. The trick was adapting the new switch to the existing hole in the dash. I thought this would be a good opportunity to use the 3D printer. 15 minutes to design in Fusion 360 and 20 minutes to print I had a new bezel and nut. I settled on the 4th version. Sprayed it with some Chrome Rustoleum, I think it turned out pretty good. 20250802_142552.jpg 20250802_142558.jpg Screenshot_20250803_150058_Gallery.jpg |
