Default Power Steering Parts

I am searching for a power steering reservoir cover ( also called a lid ) for my 1954 Victoria . To complicate things , someone installed a 1955 complete setup at one time . Due to availability , will 1955 Thunderbird parts fit ?

Can you post the DIA of the reservoir?

It is presently the correct FORD ... - CORRECTION - EATON pump on it now?

The diameter of the reservoir is 16 inches ; I replaced the pump with a rebuilt from Concours Parts. i identified the setup as 55/56 due to the fact that the pressure hose goes to the pump and the return hose goes to the reservoir as opposed to both going to the pump like a 54 and early 55 .

The early pump reservoir is 6 5/8"OD. Are you sure of that measurement?

If certain a 55, the cover is PN C0SS 3A582-A and was used on most V8 EATON PUMPS through the fifties (1955/ ).

Do you need a dipstick or any hardware or gasket?

sorry ; that's what happens when you send somebody else to measure and I should know that the number was circumference not diameter . Thanks for the part number.

Well, I have to admit I had to think about it for a while (CRS) ...

But you are OK ...

BTW, FORD and BIRD did use the same pump - CORRECTION - pump reservoir.
