I have a 91T-2140 master brake cylinder and need a replacement cap.
Can anyone suggest a source? Although ford lists the 91A-2162 as a replacement, that cap is 1/4" too large. I'm not sure if my master cylinder is a knock off with different dimensions or there were different specs. If i can't find one, i'll be forced to replace the cylinder. In that situation, can anyone recommend a supplier with a quality cylinder, not a cheap over seas knock off.... |

Maybe with no history on it the time might be right to just replace it. I doubt you'll find a new one that wasn't built overseas, even if it has a USA brand name on it. Some of the early Ford parts have new old stock or new old replacement stock, Good ol' USA, but the rubber parts may be compromised from too many years on the shelf. I just buy new master cylinders at napa. I can pick it up and compare with my own eyes and I have never gotten a bad one.
