Hello everyone long time follower, just registered.
Been working on lots of old girls so figured was time to join so I could get help on ones that are stumping me. Should be easy one here. 1941 ford Super Deluxe. Brought to me for a few things. My issue is head light switch. Was working fine about a month ago. When came back wires were disconnected. Plugged back in correctly, the parking lights on fender are on in the off position. Opened switch to check for damage. Looks good, but contact points do not make sense to me. Appears that they are getting power through contacts but shouldnt??? Anybody see something I dont? |

I noodled this out and think it should work if connected thus:
Using your top picture, Top left terminal: taillights Top right terminal: headlights Bottom left terminal: parking lights Bottom middle terminal: hot from circuit breaker (will feed tail and parking) Bottom right terminal: hot from other circuit breaker (will feed headlights) edit: In the off position switch will connect tail and park terminals, but no connection to a hot terminal Last edited by JayChicago; 05-02-2025 at 02:17 PM. |
