Default 34 Front axle direction

Having a seniors moment. Am I right in recalling there is a front and a back to a 34 axle? Thanks.

It is the same either way, the holes for the king pin retainers are drilled 9/16”. If a retainer does not fit from one side it’s nothing more than a burr from the lock washer that can be cleaned up with a fine file.

@Fordors thanks for reassuring me. Thought I was losing it there for a while...
