Default Rear end question

I have a Columbia that I’m putting in my Model A. The banjo is Flathead era, which is fine. My question is related to the radius arms. The ones I have are two different lengths. Why would that be?

My guess . . . two different years.

my original thought too, but the different years are radically different, like by about 20 inches. I think, long ones 37-41, short ones 42-48. All should be equal length pairs to my knowledge.

It appears that there is a difference in the diameter of the two and there is difference in the thickness of the mounting plate where it goes to the torque tube. Both are from two different year cars. Were they bolted to the rear end when you got it?

I think you should show both ends of these . . . as they sure appear to be a mismatched set.

They must be the same length. I'm in the process of starting another thread requesting years versus lengths.

What was done to the housings to make them fit the A, are they both narrowed to match the A, what axle shafts are you using? The 33-34 shafts would come out to the same width as the A
If 2 different length housings were used the radius rods would be a different length and it would have 2 different length axles
