Default Southside Obsolete

Just wanted to give credit to Fred at Southside Obsolete. I've made several purchases and the parts and service could'nt be better.
Just received this "crab" distributor. I inquired about a rebuild-able one and Fred sent me a message suggesting this Ford rebuilt unit. Notice it has Ford logo points. The condenser is one I had and the timing fixture is from The Hot Rod Workshop on Utube.
Thanks Fred

Fred is good people. If he doesn't have it, chances are it's not available.

One word of caution . . . many of the old/vintage condensers are shot . . . due to the internal insulation drying out and cracking. I'm sure you've experienced a bad condenser before - causes all sorts of misfire issues.

So, you will want to know that it is a good condenser before running it. I usually recommend that folks buy high-quality condensers that are used on Vertex Magnetos.

Good info Bored&Stroked. I have been seeing lots of stories about the poor quality condensers available today, I actually ordered a couple from ThirdGen yesterday. I hope they are quality units.
Where do you purchase the Vertex Mag ones? Vertex was the choice of magneto ignitions before MSD.
