Default Installing Starter Drive

There is a right way and a wrong way to do this. At one time I was in possession of the instructions. Guess what! Anyone out there with HELP. Something with compressing the spring to install the pin.
Thanks, Roger

Make sure you do not extend the starter drive. People seem to have a compulsion to do this. There is a way to get it to retract, I don't remember well enough to explain.
Look at channel locks to compress spring- maybe. I don't remember it being that hard.
