I met him and shook his hand a few years ago at TROG, I was surprised how energentic and strong he is.

Gosh, Gene is a living legend. An inspiration to so many and a master of his craft. Can't believe he's ill. God Bless Gene and Thank You FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE over the past 70 + years. Still remember attending your wonderful workshop in TX.

Oh Boy . . . so sorry to hear about this! I met Gene at Ida's place in NJ and we had a birthday party for him before we all went to TROG with Rob's Ardun roadster and Gene driving it. Gene is just one solid dude, and I pray for the last chapter of his life to be as easy and graceful as possible.

How old is Gene? He sure has a heritage! We're having a 100th birthday party for my mom's youngest brother this weekend. He's a WWII vet and a car guy, almost through with restoring a '57 GMC pickup I can't wait to see. Should be fun.

Gene came to on one our club meetings after holding a class on top chopping.
He has always had an Amazing amount of energy for his age. Seeing him at Bonneville running his Mustang or his T coupe he could do it all. When the time comes his creations will live on so others who never knew of him will see the talent this man has.

I saw you in person only once at a shop during the ‘16 shop tour of the Father’s Day Roadster Show. You did look a bit tired until I saw your eyes - the fire was still there.
Thank you for the never ending contributions and inspiration to and for our passion …..
Safe travels ….
